Private?
Links are unlisted, so they never appear in search results, but they are not password-protected — anyone with the URL can listen. Use the delete button on the manage page once the collaboration decision is made.
How long do links live?
3 days on the free tier with a 500-view cap. That is usually the length of a pitch cycle; if a label is still circling after that, upload again and send a fresh link rather than leaving them with a dead one.
Can my collaborator download the stem?
Yes. Alongside the player there is a download button that delivers the original file. Send one link per stem — vocals, instrumental — so each collaborator grabs exactly the part they need.
Do I need a streaming account?
No. Your collaborator does not need SoundCloud, Spotify or any account to listen — the browser plays the file directly, which removes the “I'll make an account later” drop-off that kills a lot of first listens.
