FAQ

20 MB feels small for a build.

The free tier targets indie demos and web builds. Strip unused assets, ship a compressed zip, or split the archive across two links — testers only need the parts that changed since the last playtest.

Can testers re-download?

Yes, until the 3-day expiry or the 500-view cap, and re-downloads count as downloads rather than new visitors. Testers who wipe their install folder can grab the same build again from the same link.

Multiple builds?

Upload each platform's build separately. Per-link view and download counts then show which platform your testers actually picked up, which is often not the one you assumed they would.

Do testers need an account?

No. They click the link, see the build name and size on a clean preview page, and download the archive. There is no launcher, no friend request and no drive permission to negotiate.

How do I stop testers sharing it?

You cannot prevent forwarding on an unlisted link. For a closed beta, tell testers the link is single-cycle, delete it from the manage page when the round ends, and issue a new link for the next cohort.
