Is this compliant for client delivery?
You are sending the exact PDF you generated, so the document itself is unchanged. Delivery method is your responsibility as always — check whether your jurisdiction wants an e-signature or a specific retention period.
How long is it available?
Free links last 3 days, which covers a normal payment window. If the invoice is still unpaid after that, upload it again and re-send — a second polite link is cheaper than a collections process.
Can I tell if they opened it?
The manage page shows daily views and downloads. That is often the difference between “I never received it” and “I received it and forgot”, and it gives you a factual basis for the follow-up call.
Why not just attach the PDF?
Attachments trip size limits and spam filters, and some accounting inboxes strip them entirely. A short link cannot bounce for being oversized and can be revoked once the invoice is settled.
Should I put the link in the payment email?
Yes. Paste it into the body of the email that carries the amount, the due date and the payment details, so the client never has to hunt through a second message to find the document.
